Event Spotlight: Shop the Block

Shop The Block was one of the first large scale events we were involved with since the beginning of the pandemic, and we couldn't be more excited to be involved. Produced by Grosvenor Brentwood, Shop Local BC, and the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival, Shop the Block was an event not to be missed.

Event Scope

‍

Food trucks, live music, and local artwork. Sounds like the before times, right? Located in the up and coming Brentwood neighbourhood, "Shop the Block" provided the Brentwood community a chance to support local artists while creating meaningful community experiences.

Our team was brought on board to help consult & elevate the event quality, as well as support with the set-up and tear-down of each weekend.

Our Process

Bringing vacant lots to life is our specialty! We worked closely with the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival to ensure the event space was used effectively and all basic infrastructure was considered. We were able to identity cost-effective solutions to elevate the brand and overall atmosphere, as well as build an effective load-in/out strategy over the course of the summer - ten events total!

We also provided the show with event rentals such as:

• Tables & Chairs
• Power Distribution
• Lighting
• Tools & Expendable Items

Run-of-Show

The run of the show was a huge success. attendees came out in droves to visit one of the city's first outdoor events since the start of the pandemic. Food was eaten, music was played, all memories were made!
