2020 was a year.

Many of us had to pivot into new ventures, diversify our skills, and you know, survive.

We are very lucky to have been able to stay busy during these times of uncertainty, and wanted to share our covid safe events that we were most proud of in 2020.

Love Your City Contest

"West End Love" candy heart displayed in the West End of Vancouver.

February 2020

What started as a small idea turned into a city wide public art scavenger hunt. Our team designed and created the candy hearts with messaging unique to the neighbourhood featuring them.

This project was initiated by our long time client (and friend) the West 4th Business Improvement Association. Their idea to get folks out and engaging with their neighbourhoods quickly spread to several other BIA's in the city. Soon, we had a warehouse full of Candy Hearts, ready to be adorned with cute sayings and dotted all over the city.

Prizes for people to #FindLove and post their "love"ly photos helped boost community spirits and bring some positivity to all. This socially distant way to activate led us to several more public art installations in the future.

October 2020

Another collaboration with the West 4th BIA, Kits Patch was a socially distanced Fall event designed to bring the Halloween spirit to the Kitsilano neighbourhood. Our staff helped activate the event, manage the line, and engage with the public.

We stayed safe with several safety protocols.

  • Socially distant line ups, managed by yours truly using ground decals to indicate spacing
  • One-at-a-time groups that flowed through the open air space
  • You touch it, you keep it policy for all who picked a pumpkin
  • Hiring our own photographer, in order to minimize contact for everyone

When all was said and done, attendees got to take home pumpkins and happy memories!

That’s a Wrap on Riverdale Season 5

Now Streaming

Another pivot project: helping out on Riverdale Season 5.

Our team was tasked with onboarding new hires, scheduling pre-work testing, and assisting the office PA's. Something totally new for us, but not totally out of the blue. Our owner/ operator Tim has some film training under his belt. He attended Capilano Film School in his early career. Tim also recently took several Film and TV related courses including Motion Picture Industry Orientation, Traffic Control, Construction Safety Officer Training, and Occupational First Aid Level 3.

We can't forget another all star team member Ross, who spearheaded the project. Ross' ability to manage and organize people flawlessly ensured this project was a great success. Riverdale Season 5 is now streaming on Netflix.
